City Color Lip Balm in Light Pink

City Color's Lip Balm in Light Pink is a cruelty-free, tinted lip balm much like Revlon's Lip Butters (in my opinion), and is part of their 2012 Spring Collection. Light Pink is a bright, cotton candy pink with yellow undertones. The packaging is round, with a white base and clear cap. The balm swivels entirely down to avoid damage, and the shade name (Light Pink) and product ingredients are printed on the rear label.

Light Pink smells exactly like Sweet Tarts to me, however it doesn't transfer to the lips and I did not notice the fragrance during wear (only during application). There's a slightly synthetic taste to Light Pink, but it's hardly a bother. The shape is a bit smaller than a Revlon Lip Butter, so I find it's easier to move around my lips without error.

Light Pink is a lovely cotton candy pink with yellow undertones and a subtle shine. I found it to be creamy and superbly pigmented, but it also has a lot of slip, so streaking is easy to obtain. It's lightweight on the lips, moisturizing, and it doesn't settle into/accentuate the fine lines in my lips. Light Pink wore for about 5-6 hours, through drinking, but it does not hold up through a meal.
In conclusion, City Color's Lip Balm in Light Pink completely wowed me! I love the shade, the finish, and the wear, though I do wish there wasn't so much slip in the formula. Light Pink reminds me a lot of Revlon Lip Butters, just with a fraction of the cost (and, unfortunately, nowhere close to the shade range). For the price, I highly recommend picking one up to try!
City Color's Lip Balm in Light Pink can be found in-store at Rite Aid, and retails for $1.99. There are three other shades of Lip Balms available.
